Task attractiveness is a phrase consist of two words, they are:

Task is a verb that means work that has to be done (oxford learners pocket dictionary fourth edition).

Attractiveness is a noun that means the quality of arousing interest; being attractive or something that attracts.

So Task attractiveness is the work that modified being attractive which has to be done

The effect of task attractiveness on second language learners.

Freiermuth and Jarrell’s found that If a task is attractive and can be sustain its attractiveness throughout an exercise, it is considered to be motivating ( Deci and Ryan 1985; Deci and Flaste 1995; Brown 1994; Inyengar and Lepper 1999, 2000). Crookes and Schmidt (1991) go on to make the point that in any language-learning situation, the question of motivation essentially hinges on whether or not learners take advantages of opportunities to acquire language ( Dornyei 194a, b, 1998, 2001).
